Anyone who has known me for more than .3 seconds knows that I have an
obsession interest in Doctor Who. ;) So when Brian and Omega contacted me and mentioned that they were going to incorporate a “subtle DW theme”… well… I may have let out a fangirl squeel. …or three. :)
But even though their wedding theme was AWESOME (and they even were totally sweet and gifted me(!!) a DW theme clutch that I totally freaked out about because SO MUCH YES), I have to say that that’s not what makes this couple’s wedding so cool.
It was the smiles. The laughter. The laid-back time with family and friends, enjoying the warm glow of love and the excitement of a new life together.
Omega and Brian are all about simply being happy, and being together.
I couldn’t help hearing River Song’s voice in my head as I took the first shot of the day….
Meanwhile, Brian was going over his custom vows, making a few adjustments as he nervously waited to see his gorgeous bride…
I LOVED Brian’s subtle DW look… Ten’s converses, anyone? ;)
After a while ,the bridal part met up with us for some fun (chilly!) shots….
Back inside, the stage was set for an amazing night! Homemade goodies are the besssssst!!!! YUM.
Also, can I totally give mad props to Omega for MAKING these fabulous “DW wedding theme” bridesmaids bouquets?!? The felt flowers and buttons and sparkles… LOVE. Awesome job, girl!! Aaaaaand I’m not going to lie, I need one of these “Hello Sweetie” cake toppers for my desk. I’ve decided. It’s going to happen. ;)
Omega and Brian also added a few book theme touches, and perfectly combined them with the DW ideas. Bookmarks with Gallifreyan? Place cards made of library checkout slips, with DW episode references for table names. WIN.
The books and Tardis blue touches made for gorgeous centerpieces… with handmade River Song journals (!) filled with memories and photos from Brian and Omega’s past!
The ceremony room began to fill…
It was time!
As the night drew to a close, we went outside for a few farewell shots under the moon…
